the covenant
two promises we never trade away.
these aren't settings to toggle. they're the reason undertext exists — read below exactly what each one means, and where every word on the page actually comes from.
our two promises
- private, always. using undertext does not violate Your privacy. there is no account, advertising, or third-party tracking. Your journal uses private iCloud when it is available, then local storage, then temporary memory. Grace and voice transcription explain what leaves Your device before You choose to send it.
- open to everyone. undertext stays usable if You go blind. text can grow, motion can settle, and meaningful controls are named for VoiceOver and other screen readers.
these aren't features. they're why undertext exists, and they are never traded away.
where the words come from
the hebrew, greek, aramaic, KJV, and sacred name edition are undertext's own data — served from undertext.org, never resold, never rebundled. the modern english translations (NIV, Amplified, NASB, and BSB) are read live from YouVersion under their own licenses, one verse at a time, and kept out of Grace. the full account of every text, with its license, lives at sources & licenses.
the same two promises govern both: what's ours stays ours and stays private, and what's licensed stays exactly what its publisher allows — nothing more. read the details at privacy and accessibility.
